Making History in 2009

This year was amazing. We reached numerous team records including our first ever NCAA bid. After winning our first round match against Rice 3-0 we proceeded to play #2 ranked the University of Texas Longhorns. We hung in with one of the top teams in the country but lost 3-0.

The experience was great for the team and will help set the stage for 2010 and beyond. Now we start to work our plan to get back in 2010 and working on our top 10 memories of 2009.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Your TCU Volleyball is plugging right along with a 19-5 record after a weekend of sweeping both opponents at home. On Thursday night a record breaking crowd of 1,875 filled the Special Events Gym to watch your Frogs upset #25 Conference Rival Colorado State! Sweeping them in 3 sets in a match that was televised on The Mountain.

The Frogs had to turn around and play Wyoming on Saturday in front of the 2nd largest crowd in history of 1,664. A tough Wyoming team took the florr but the Frogs hung in there and swept this match in 3 sets as well.

On Monday Megan Munce was name Mountain West Conference Player of The Week for her contributions to the team. She ended the weekend with 9 aces and posted 2 double-doubles for both matches. Great Job Megan!!

TCU Volleyball hits the road this weekend as they head to San Diego to take on SDSU and then to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force.

See you back at home on November 5th and 7th as we host BYU and Utah. See you in the stands!

TCU Volleyball keeps on making history!

TCU swept BYU in Provo for the first time in school history. It was a huge win for the program and the Frogs are off to their best conference start since joining the Mountain West. The win over BYU came after a tough loss at Utah in front of a great crowd. The Frogs fought their hearts out in a 32-30, 25-27, 25-27, 18-25 loss. It was impressive how our ladies stepped up and despite the tough loss regained their composure and turned around to play BYU 2 days later. The Frogs made quite the statement when they swept BYU on their home court. Your TCU Volleyball team returns home this Thursday night to wrap uf the first round of conference play as we host UNLV at 7 pm. Please come out and support!
